Apply nowI wanted the FST position because I loved the traveling aspect of it, and how hands-on the job seemed. Even as a trainee, you get to do a lot and experience so much. That’s why I believed it was the best fit for me.
The program allows the FST to travel and get hands-on, practical training with service engineers. The FST is able to experience what service calls are really like. By learning from others in real-world situations, you’re able to mentally collect and recall different methods and solutions to pull from in the future, when you are going on calls on your own.
The person who succeeds in this job is willing to learn and take constructive criticism. They don’t expect to walk in and know everything right away. They are able to listen and absorb the advice given to them. Also, they don’t expect to be at home much because there is quite a bit of traveling involved.
The first day was amazing. When I went to new-hire training, I couldn’t get over how welcoming and genuine everyone was. It seemed as if everyone truly loved their job and this company. You rarely find that now-a-days, so it was truly eye-opening and exciting to know I was going to be part of that kind of work environment.
I have seen the Sysmex Way in action many times when I am on calls with service engineers. I see how they take the time to work with the customer and how they make sure the job is done right and to the best of their ability.
The customers love Sysmex. I just had a customer telling me how much she loved her XS. She mentioned how dependable it is and how closely it matches up with the XS in another office she works in.
I would say that the main things are these: the care and pride this company takes in making their products, and how much effort they truly put into continually improving them.
The FST program gives them a chance to experience the job and everything it entails without being thrown in too quickly. They will have the chance to learn from many experienced service engineers, which will give them a chance to develop different approaches to servicing and troubleshooting the equipment in the future.
